Fe geiswyd llifo'r gadwyn dew â llif
A gwthio yr allweddi ymhob clo.
Ataliwyd hwynt yn llwyr er maint eu rhif
Gan ysbryd dewr di-ildio plant y fro.
Fifty years have now passed since the local community’s struggle to save the village and the Gwendraeth Fach valley from being drowned to create a reservoir. The initial celebrations have already started and have been both successful and enjoyable. Events will continue throughout this year culminating in October 2013. We are hoping that the series of celebrations will continue to be very successful and well supported by the local community and within Wales as a whole.
We thought it would be an opportune time to look at the successes we have already achieved in 2012 and look forward to the series of events taking place in 2013 leading up to the final week of celebrations in October.
